Responsibilities

Who are you?

 

You are a Data Analyst who will be able to hit the ground running to support the organization’s efforts to maintain leadership in the employee health engagement industry. This role will be responsible for driving, gathering, and documenting business requirements, answering ad-hoc questions/reporting by either documentation or writing queries/completing analysis. The incumbent will be able to interpret findings, clearly communicate results, and make recommendations to stakeholders or teammates. We are looking for someone who is self-directed and thrives working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in which expectations are high for both the quality and speed of work. A successful candidate will have a hunger for continuous learning, the development of new skills on the job, and the willingness to jump in on any project to support the team.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Collaborate with a team of internal analytics engineers and data engineers, ensuring smooth monitoring and triage to maintain and support current production applications.
  • Write SQL queries to access, clean, and transform required data prior to analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required to support internal stakeholders in Client Success, Sales, and Marketing
  • Collaborate and assist other internal analytics and client reporting team members to ensure appropriate data is analyzed and that results are provided in a format consistent with standard and customized client reporting services.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and technical issues reported by customers; Manage the backlog of issues coming from analysts and users
  • Lead data discussions with engineering teams on questions to drive requirements or to explain data issues to drive solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation on internal and client-facing business processes.
  • Participate in enhancing the monitoring and auditing of data pipelines.
  • Applies strong analytical and technical skills to understand, define, research, and resolve everyday data storage and performance issues.
  • Developing scripts for verifying the correct operation of integrations
  • Follow and maintain documentation and process guidance for all projects.

Qualifications

What you bring to the Personify Health Team:

 

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in a fast-paced technology, healthcare, health insurance, or health wellness environment.
  • Certifications in software development, data engineering, or cloud technologies are advantageous.

You also take pride in offering the following Core Skills, Competencies, and Characteristics:

  • Work experience in a similar position in a technology setting and a degree in business or related field; employee health management/health engagement/healthcare/health insurance industry preferred.
  • Previous experience working with big data analytic tools is strongly desired (Python, Spark, Databricks, etc.)
  • Familiarity and recent hands-on experiences in SQL databases, Snowflake preferred.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik or others
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies to support Agile planning and work estimation.
  • Experience with distributed source code control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) and working with cloud-based data storage applications is preferable (AWS preferred).
  • Preferred knowledge of agile software development suite of tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Proven record of accomplishment in delivery, process improvement, data governance, and supporting client services and sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a global environment with remote teams
