Who are you?
As a Director, Consultant and Broker Relations, you will be accountable for several key relationships with our key consulting and brokerage houses and building awareness and growth opportunities at emerging local and national consultancies and / or brokers. Your active partnership with consultants and brokers ,and strong in-market presence will make a noticeable difference in driving growth for Virgin Pulse.
You are a spokesperson for Virgin Pulse’s newly expanded capabilities within the consultant and broker community. You have strong knowledge of the health care payor, administration space, along with well being and health navigation. The ability to connect with a broad range of contacts (generalists and SMEs) within the consultant and broker houses is critical.
Although you will operate remotely, you reside in the Central or Pacific time zone. Location will be key as we align with our contacts on a more regional basis.
You excel at relationship management, strategic engagements and creating partnerships that drive mutual growth and value. You demonstrate high competency in navigating within and across consultant and broker firms and within Virgin Pulse – striving to bring the highest value to our shared clients and to our partnership. In this role, you are accountable for creating business plans and growth strategies for your houses and to identify emerging growth or market trends that contribute to our solution roadmap and create value for our shared clients. You are accountable for year over year growth of your houses and for the engagement and satisfaction of your consultants/brokers.
In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:
- Deep knowledge of the health care payor, networks, and vendor/point solution space
- Capacity to develop and implement specific growth, positioning and roadmap plans
- Demonstrated ability to build deep trusted relationships with key stakeholders at designated consultant and brokerage firms
- Strategic consultation that helps to best position Virgin Pulse’s expanded solutions
- Aptitude to solicit, analyze, and share feedback from partners with internal stakeholders to make necessary adjustments in strategy, approach and execution; be an active and informed voice communicating solution needs, gaps and opportunities to our Product & Tech teams.
- Work with appropriate consultant/broker contacts and VP client management to help resolve client relationship challenges
- Navigation strength in working closely with sales and client success to ensure a seamless hand-off occurs when appropriate

In the role of Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for generating new direct sales of Virgin Pulse’s SaaS HR Technology solutions to private sector entities with between 1000 - 4999 FTE’s. VP’s Regional Sales Directors are responsible for following up on inbound marketing leads, developing outbound leads, qualifying leads, and pursuing a full cycle sale. To be successful in this role you will nurture relationships, build value, handle objections, create urgency, identify procurement cycles, and collaborate strategically with sales leadership to close new business opportunities. Our best and most successful Regional Sales Directors are able to consistently generate a high degree of trust with their prospects and clients. This is necessary to close a complex and often-personal sale with HR, Benefits and Employee Wellbeing professionals. The expectation will be that the Regional Sales Director’s industry reputation, knowledge of the market and job satisfaction will be heavily reliant on the delight of each new client as they move through the initial discovery process, solution building, contracting, implementation and launch.
In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:
- Achieve and exceed Annual Recurring Revenue objectives in your assigned territory.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets to sales leadership on a timely basis.
- Develop strategic plans to maximize revenue across multiple verticals within the private sector.
- Serve in a “hunter” capacity; hunt for new business and further develop opportunities.
- Creative lead generation initiatives through the use of direct mail, email marketing, external networking events, trade-shows, luncheon seminars, cold calling and research.
- Leverage Salesforce.com to build close plans, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Demonstrate Virgin Pulse products to prospects via in-person or web meetings.
- Proactive outreach to get ahead of procurement cycles through ongoing outreach, sales efforts and support RFP team in managing procurement processes.
- Coordinate with Virgin Pulse Client Services on pre/post-sales implementation activities.
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Virgin Pulse product portfolio.
